Question by Lloyd N: parts for a old sears roebuck and co. outboard motor?

Answer by Richard C
Some of these motors were built by Elgin, which was a part of OMC/ Evinrude, others were built by Evinrude. So there are some parts available, from BRP Bombardier, which bought OMC. There might even some parts available at sears. There is an "aftermarket" boat parts co. Sierra, that has some parts that might convert over. keep in mind that these are very old, and your best source of information is the Antique motor collectors.

The first place to go is your local Sears service center. They might still have the engine in their microfiche collection and be able to order what you need from a parts supplier.
Also, if you do not have a manual, try Amazon, eBay and Craigslist.
